Inceptivate

Your Privacy Rights

Inceptivate is operated by Point Clear, LLC. This page explains what personal data we hold, the rights you have over it under Texas law, and how to use them.

What we hold

  • Public business records. Records that state Secretaries of State publish about business entities formed in the states we cover: the business's name, addresses and formation details, and the names and addresses of the people the state lists for it, such as its officers, members and registered agent. For some of those records we also hold a link to a publicly available professional profile, found by a web search for an officer's name.
  • Our subscribers' account data. The name, email address, phone number and company name a subscriber gives us, records of how the service is used, and billing details. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Contact details a subscriber adds. An email address, phone number or social profile link that a subscriber enters on a business record, for the business, one of its officers or its registered agent. In the product, only people at that subscriber's company can see it; other subscribers never do. If that subscriber shares the record with someone by email from inside the product, the contact details his company holds for it are included in that email.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data, and give you access to it;
  • correct inaccurate personal data about you;
  • delete personal data you gave us or that we obtained about you;
  • give you a copy of the personal data you gave us, in a portable and readily usable format;
  • stop processing your personal data for the sale of personal data, for targeted advertising, or for profiling that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

How to make a request

You do not need an account. Use either method:

  • Email support@inceptivate.com, saying which of the rights above you are using.
  • The form below. It sends your request to the same address. We keep no separate copy of what you type into it.

We may ask for information we reasonably need to confirm that the request is yours.

When we will answer

We will respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we need more time we may extend that once, by up to 45 more days, and if we do we will tell you within the first 45 days, with the reason.

If we decline, and how to appeal

If we decline to act on your request, we will tell you why, within the same 45 days, and how to appeal.

To appeal, send it the same way you made the request — by email or with the form below (choose "Appeal a decision on an earlier request" and give your earlier reference). We will tell you in writing what we did or did not do, and why, within 60 days of receiving your appeal.

If we deny your appeal, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General:

Authorized agents

Someone you authorize may submit a request on your behalf to opt out of the sale of your personal data or of targeted advertising. We may verify your identity and the agent's authority to act for you before we act on it.

No discrimination

We will not deny you service, charge you a different price or give you a different level of service because you used any of these rights.

Submit a request

We will reply to this address.

What would you like us to do?

For a correction, say what is wrong and what it should say.

An authorized agent may submit only the two opt-outs: sale, and targeted advertising.
