Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: November 1, 2026

For Email Sent Through Inceptivate · See Also Our Terms Of Service And Privacy Policy

1. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers every email you send through Inceptivate: quotes, quote follow-ups, emails you write yourself or from a template, campaigns and follow-up plans, whether they go from your own connected Google or Microsoft mailbox or from an Inceptivate address. You agree to it when you connect a mailbox and before you send your first template email. It is part of our Terms of Service, and everyone at your company who sends email through Inceptivate must follow it.

2. What You May Not Send

You may not use Inceptivate to send:

  • Spam, meaning bulk email that has nothing to do with the recipient's business, email sent to purchased, rented or harvested address lists, or any email that breaks the CAN-SPAM Act or other anti-spam law.
  • Email with a misleading sender name, from address, reply-to address or subject line, or email that pretends to come from someone other than you and your company.
  • Email to anyone who has unsubscribed from your company's emails, or who has asked you in any other way to stop emailing them.
  • Deceptive, fraudulent, harassing, threatening or unlawful content, phishing, or anything carrying malware.
  • Email that tries to get around Inceptivate's safeguards, such as the daily sending limit, your company's unsubscribe list or a paused mailbox, for example by sending from several accounts.

3. Follow The Law

You are responsible for following the CAN-SPAM Act and every other anti-spam, privacy and marketing law that applies to you and to the people you email, such as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation when you email someone in Canada. Among other things, that means you must:

  • Identify yourself and your company truthfully.
  • Use a subject line that matches what the email says.
  • Include your company's valid postal address in commercial email.
  • Give a clear way to unsubscribe, and honor every request promptly, and in any case within 10 business days.

4. How Inceptivate Helps

  • Emails you write to prospects through your connected mailbox carry your company's mailing address and a one-click unsubscribe link. Inceptivate will not send one until your company's address is set.
  • When someone unsubscribes, their address goes on your company's unsubscribe list, and no one at your company can send them a template email, campaign or follow-up plan email through Inceptivate again. A quote they asked for can still reach them.
  • Each connected mailbox has a daily limit on template emails, set by your Company Admin, up to 1,000 a day.
  • If one mailbox's emails draw an unusual number of unsubscribes in a short time, its template emails pause until your Company Admin reviews them and resumes them.

These safeguards help, but they do not make an email lawful. Following this policy and the law is your responsibility.

5. When We Pause Or End Sending

Inceptivate may pause or end your ability to send email through Inceptivate, or suspend your account, if you break this policy, if your emails draw a high rate of unsubscribes or spam complaints, or if an email provider tells us your sending is causing harm. Where we can, we will tell you why. We may do this without notice when we need to protect the people you email or other Inceptivate users.

6. Your Google Or Microsoft Mailbox

When you connect a mailbox, Inceptivate asks only for permission to send email from it. We never read, search, list, change or delete your email. Google's and Microsoft's own policies also apply to email sent from their accounts, including Google's Gmail Program Policies and Email Sender Guidelines and the Microsoft Services Agreement, and you must follow them too.

7. Report Abuse

If you received an email sent through Inceptivate that you believe breaks this policy, write to help@inceptivate.com and include the email if you can. We review every report.

8. Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and we ask you to agree to the new version before you send your next template email.
